Life is seriously flashing before my eyes and I can’t believe we’re over half way through the year, it’s mad! It’s been a whirlwind couple of months and as such, I thought I would round up my recent highlights.
We bought a house.
After viewing a house on a complete whim, we fell in love with it and decided to dive in head first and we bought it! It’s been so much fun, and I’m excited to see our house become a home.
I turned 25!
Earlier this month I celebrated turning the grand age of twenty five. A quarter of a century, half way to 50. Birthdays are nowhere near as exciting as they once were, but we spent the day in Chester, drank lots of coffee and consumed lots of cake and I bought a new blazer – it was a good day.
I got a haircut and I’m feeling fresh.
After cutting my hair off years ago and instantly regretting it, I decided to do exactly the same this time. My hairdresser cut it a little shorter than planned, however I’m absolutely loving the change and I’m feeling like a brand new me. It’s so much easier to manage and feels so healthy.
I’m getting my blogging mojo back.
It’s been a while since I’ve felt compelled to put together blog posts but I’m really feeling the inspiration trickling back.
My next hurdle is getting my camera out and getting some pictures for these posts! I have a canon M10 which for a compact camera has tons of potential so I need to just carry it round with me and get snapping again.
I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with work.
Work has been very stressful these past few months, with being one person down in my team and trying to do two roles at once. It’s been tough, but I’m still standing, just about.
These past couple of months has made me realise that if I’m upfront, people will rally around to help you and I’m starting to get back on top of my to do list. It’s definitely still a work in progress but the light at the end of the tunnel is definitely there!
Reconnecting with old friends.
Friendship is something I find difficult, I don’t have too many friends and I’m okay with that as it’s so hard to keep up with everyone, but it has meant letting go of friendships which I feel have naturally fizzled out for one reason or another. However, I am making steps to reconnect with old friends who were such a big part of my life previously which feels pretty good.
